I sent this off to Katie Alleva the other day to thank her for some of her amazing earrings that she sent me and for the inspiration she has been over the past few years.
The primary colours reminded me of her as her personality seems as bright, unique and fresh like her work.

Thank You / Happy Birthday / Merry Christmas / Hello.
I made Miss K some bracelets for her birthday, She reminds me of spring flowers.
I'll post up other gifts I am working on for others as I get around to finishing them.
Some people have asked if they can get their hands on some to give to others,
I will let you know when I am doing a market stall.

Work in progress: Thesis (Swatches + Wool)
Considering symbolism, emotions and how to condense 7000 words into two without further conversation.
Colour is one of the ways I'm trying to wrap my head around it all (literally).
Abstracting, creating, destroying are a few of my favourite things so in case you were wondering why I have been asking a lot about colours lately that is why.
Knitted bows, bracelets and necklaces are a way of me surveying colour choice of people and what it represents to them on an aesthetic, emotional, symbolic level then considering what role they play in my life and how it shapes my perception.

Grad show work in progress: Spinning Wool.
Here is some wool I've started spinning for my grad show work as I'm generally over attached to my work as it is I've even started spinning some of my hair into it,my best friend let me test it out by giving me his hair after cutting it off.
Thanks for being a legend!

'At each repetition there is progress.'
This is a sample of the shots I've posted so far which will be sent for test printing.
I'm a tad excited with some help the backgrounds look relatively evenly lit considering what a task this has all been.
Not so excited that i'm racing the clock to get this in a tangible form.
Almost. there.

Studio Extension: Doe in the headlights.
"I am, I will
So no longer will ILay down, play dead
Play your doe
In the headlights locked down
And terrified
Your deer in the headlights
Shut down and horrified when
Push comes to pull comes to shove
Comes to step around this
Self-destructive dance
That never would've ended 'til
I rose,
I roared aloud here
I will, I am"

A last minute attempt at doing my homework.
Uni discussion over read into the images and partly ruined it for me,
Luckily any time with Dane is an amazing time.

"Death, What y'all know about death?"
(Model: Nathan Kenna)
Studio Extension response to Richard Serra's list of doing words..
my word was 'to shorten'..inital thoughts were to have him hanging, as in a shortend life, shortend noose, etc.
"To photograph people is to violate them, by seeing them as they never see themselves,by having knowledge of them they can never have; it turns people into objects that can be symbolically posessed.Just as the camera is a sublimination of the gun, to photograph someone is a subliminated murder -- a soft murder , appropriate to a sad, frightend time."
